Unspecified spectral disorders

(Pervasive Developmental Disorder Not otherwise Specified on the autism spectrum)
PDD.NOS is a diagnosis for people who have autistic characteristics but do not seem to fit exactly into any of the Autism Spectrum categories. They will exhibit poor social understanding or poor social skills. They may have trouble communicating and might also have different sensory needs than someone without autism. PDD.NOS is a diagnosis usually given to children diagnosed with Autism at a later age, such as 3 or 4. These children will experience autism in very unique ways, they may have better language skills and poor social skills or conversely, no language and good eye contact.
